Every child has a dream and as they grow older, the dream sometimes changes, but for Mr. Neville Kenneth Baker, this was not the case. Since childhood, Mr. Baker dreamed about developing a place where people can live comfortably and in harmony.
This dream started to activate in the year 2007 when Mr. Baker decided that there was no reason that his dream could not come true developing a new urban node close to the west coast of Namibia.
The Smart City concept for Namibia made perfect sense.
The planning and the processes to get to the current stage (‘2023) took 15 years and with a lot of effort and patience, the project finally kicked off in the year 2022 when Bakersville started to advertise and launch affordable portion prices for reservations on the unserviced land to give all people the chance to be part of this amazing opportunity. Although these prices will change once the land service starts, Bakersville will continue with the optional down–payment structure in support of all Namibians.
